Can you feel it in the air?
The temperatures are slowly rising, the flowers are beginning to bloom and birds are chirping in the trees. Spring is almost here and before you know it, it’ll turn into summer. Sunny days spent lazily lying on a beach and splashing around in the warm sea water, as the sun turns your skin into a golden hue and the sea salt gives your hair those pretty, effortless beach waves.
Can’t wait? We can’t fast forward to summer now (much as we’d like to) but we can share with you a quick trick to get beautiful beach waves all year long: a texturizing sea salt spray.
What’s A Texturizing Sea Salt Spray?
Simply put, it’s a water based spray with mineral-rich sea salt that adds volume and texture to your hair.
It makes a lot of sense if you think about it. Why does bathing in the ocean gives you those pretty beach waves and swimming in a lake doesn’t? The difference is in the salt. The seas and oceans have plenty of it.
The only problem? Sea salt can be drying on the hair. That’s why we’ve added moisturizers like glycerine and panthenol to counteract the drying effects of the sea salt and boost moisture levels to our Ocean Mist Hair Texturizing Spray. Problem solved.
Why Should You Use A Texturizing Sea Salt Spray?
Texture and volume, my friends.
As we already know, sea salt can add texture to your locks, creating those pretty beachy waves in no time. The trick is to spray it on the ends and mid-lengths of your hair and then shake your locks up to encourage them to curl.
Plus, the added texture helps your curls and braids last longer. You won’t have to worry about your beautiful hairdo coming apart after just a couple of hours.
But it’s in the volume boosting department that sea salt spray really shines. No matter what your hair type is, sea salt spray will give it a lift. Yes, even fine, straight hair that usually refuses to hold any volume (or curl!) at all. Sea salt will finally persuade it to rise up, giving your face and hair a whole new look. And men, you can take advantage of a sea salt spray, too. It’s an easy way to add volume and bulk to thinning or flat hair.
You can also use it to amp up the volume on your hairstyles. For example, it can give your ponytail or up-do a much-needed boost. Again, the trick is to spray it on the ends and mid-lengths of your hair. If you give your roots their dose as well, sea salt will weight the whole thing down!
Who knew that sea salt could do so much?
