God if I had known I would not have made the purchase because it broke me out. It's not the sunscreens fault per say but my princess like skin who hates everything that broke out. Why did I break out? Well because it has Tocopherol Acetate in the formulation. My skin always breaks out from Vitamin E. They should really update the Ingredients on the website it doesn't say it has Tocopherol in the site which was my impulse as to why I bought it in the first place. However, the sunscreen I received has all the ingredients listed here minus the last ingredient (Tocopherol Acetate) that was written on the bottle I received. The reason why I give it a good rating is because this sunscreen will suit well to those with non acneic skin types and even those who deal with regular acne. I stated on another review that I suffered from malassezia folliculitis a.k.a Fungal Acne which cause losts of Ingredients in cosmetics to aggravate my skin and I know vitamin e is one of them annoyingly as it is. This sunscreen would have been perfect otherwise. It is lightweight which I love it feels silky on the skin because of the Dimethicone. It has no Fragrance and because of the Titanium and Zinc-oxide it leaves the skin looking glowy with a nice subtle white Finnish. When I mean white I don't mean it leaves a pale or ghost like complexion but a rather a white as in healthy glow to the skin. I can't say much for sun protection because I don't spend hours out in the sun however I can tell you that my skin did not feel sensitize or flushed when I got back home meaning it did protect my skin from the few sun rays that managed to hit my face through out the day. It's a solid sunscreen but please update the Ingredient list on your website to let those who are sensitive to Tocopherol Acetate know this sunscreen has it and be cautious before they decide to make their purchase.
Oh Zach, I am so sorry to hear it did not work out! The website does show the proper list, so maybe at the time you purchased it was when we were transitioning to the new formula? Please reach out to our customer service and they will take care of you. Vitamin E (Tocopherol Acetate) is not typically a Malassezia Folliculitis (Fungal Acne) trigger ingredient. It is considered FA safe by Dermatologists and according to research. For your situation, you may find it is a combination of ingredients that are being used together? There are just so many variables. Vitamin E has many benefits, and is used quite often in acne-clearing treatments and is beneficial at keeping skin clear, but Fungal Acne is a completely different condition; it is not the same thing as regular acne. The addition of Vitamin C and Vitamin E in this sunscreen is pretty new, it was not in the previous formula. They were added to enhance the benefits of the sunblock. Vitamins C and E are both are powerful antioxidants that can help with sun protection, destruction of free radicals, and even reversing sun damage, all help discourage premature aging.
So happy to have found this! I have been looking for a nice sunblock that has both Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide because you need both for effective UVA and UVB blocking, and that also uses Iron Oxide which protects against damaging blue light. It is reef friendly, and free of chemical sunscreens which they now say may cause cancer so I avoid them completely. Perfume free, which I like also. The tint color is nice, I think they add it to counteract the white mineral cast, which it seems to do a really good job. I have very skin and it blends in very nicely. My daughter who has darker skin though, it also looks fine on her. Just sort of melts into your skin no matter the color. I was worried it would be like makeup that sits on the surface of the skin but it's not at all and blends right in.
