Argireline (Acetyl hexapeptide-3) is a peptide which is a fragment of SNAP-25, a substrate of Botulinum toxin (Botox). When Argireline is applied to the skin, the chemical composition causes the facial muscles to contract with less force. This diminishes the appearance of wrinkles and can smooth out fine lines that appear with aging. This serum can be quite effective, and in some cases, users of Argireline can experience as much as a 30 percent reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.

According to Sederma, the maker of Matrixyl 3000, this ingredient restores the skin’s metabolism of youth by simulating synthesis of Collagen-I, -IV, -VII, -XVII and Nidogen-I proteins. In their studies, they noted a reduction of main wrinkle depth, reduction of roughness, reduced sagging, and an improvement in deep wrinkles and skin tone. Babyface has used this ingredient for many years, and it remains one of our all time best performing.

Hi Monica! Since Retin-A is typically applied at night, we recommend using your Argireline serum in the mornings. If you use a moisturizer as well, you can apply that over the serum.
