Famous Dave’s Moisture Tan self tanner cream is a luxurious lotion, which bathes your skin in the rich emollients of Aloe Vera, Sesame and Jojoba. It creates a natural looking, sun-kissed tint on the skin; never orange or streaky. This lotion is light and creamy, and applies easily.

Note: there is no bronzer in this lotion, it is color-free.

Famous Dave's Self Tanner is also fragrance-free. Added fragrance amplifies the odor of DHA. Being fragrance-free virtually eliminates the smell on your skin, clothes, and in your bed! Why most self tanners do not work

Almost every self tanner on the market today has at least one of these ingredients: Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, and/or Mineral Oil. All these ingredients have high pH levels of over 6! What does this mean? A pH of over 6 is the COLOR ORANGE! Not quite what you had in mind for a natural looking tan. Famous Dave’s Self Tanner does not contain any of these ingredients, yet gives you the most natural, beautiful, and soft tan money can buy.

Our Top 10 Tips For The Perfect Famous Dave’s Tan

If you are new to sunless tanning, use a very light coat of Famous Dave’s at first to get the hang of applying a self-tanner. For a darker tan, you may re-apply after 4-6 hours, but we recommend that you wait overnight if you are new to self-tanning.
Take a shower, making sure to use a good body scrub like our Peppermint Scrub. Dry skin completely. Though, slightly moist would be OK.
Most Famous Dave’s Tanners look most natural when applied every 4-5 days (not every day) with the exception of Small Batch Daily, which is intended for everyday use.
Rub our tanner in smoothly and evenly while applying it in a circular motion. You really can’t rub it in too much and over rubbing (without the use of much force) is recommended to avoid streaking.
When applying on your face cover your lips with Famous Dave’s Lip Balm as a barrier lotion.
How to avoid tanning hands: Famous Dave’s tanners are formulated to neutralize tanning when hands are washed in warm soapy water for at least 30 seconds. This will remove the tanning agent from those areas if done within 10 minutes of tanner application. To avoid any possibility of tanner on your hands we highly recommend our Famous Dave’s FAME MITT - tanning application mitt. Mitts also aid in the smoothness of the tanner application.
Allow Famous Dave’s to dry before getting dressed. Depending of the product and amount used, it may take 2-5 minutes.
Avoid direct use on elbows and knees. Famous Dave’s lotions are formulated to work with other lotions as well. You may add a very small amount of our self tanning lotion to your favorite body lotion for a more natural look on knees and elbows, as well as tops of hands and feet (use it very sparingly and wait overnight before re-applying).
Famous Dave’s Tanner works great on faces as well. Just exfoliate as you did your body and apply a very light coat of tanner. We suggest starting with your forehead and working from there. Make sure you get all exposed areas (neck, behind ears, etc.) for the most natural look.
After you have reached your perfect tan, we recommend that you moisturize your skin often. We recommend Famous Dave’s Small Batch Daily for this.

It really works!

I am not a self tan user. I have tried them in the past and haven’t liked the smell or the orange look they give my skin. I have olive colored skin and I wanted to try this to add a little extra color to my legs for wearing a summer dress. This self tanner gave my skin a nice even tone of a bit darker than my true color. I watched the tutorial video and used a makeup sponge to apply. It also has no unpleasant odor

Perfect dose of color for those of us who are PALE af.

As a redhead, someone “blessed” with skin so pale it’s basically see-through in the winter time, this product (used as directed) adds the perfect hint of color to my skin— head to toe. After just one application in the morning, I was glowing like I had just returned from a beach vacation by dinner time. My husband noticed right away and so did I. A week later and I’m considering adding another coat, because it lasts! Also, I have extremely sensitive skin and this didn’t bother me one bit— no scents, no sticky residue, overall quite hydrating. Highly recommend to my fellow pale people who want some color that isn’t too extreme.

I had used self tanners for years suffering with the smell self tanners will give. I now have been using Famous Dave's for a number of years. There is no offensive smell and what a great believable beautiful tan I get. I use the original which is also moisturizing. Do yourself a favor...look incredible.
